I’ve been working on this project for some time now, so it’s with great joy that I’m able to (finally!) announce that I have launched a small online shop on my blog!
Curious fact: I only got around to piercing my ears at the ripe old age of 26. Until that point, I had to sadly watch other people wear beautiful earrings that I couldn’t wear. So when, at long last, I had my very own pierced ears, I started to wear traditional Portuguese filigree earrings, known as filigranas. The compliments on the filigranas came pouring in! It was only a matter of time before I decided to start selling filigree jewelry online. I am now selling necklaces, rings and bracelets, as well as those coveted earrings…

Visiting the ateliers where these pieces are made was a wonderful opportunity to understand how much work goes into each hand-made item. The art of filigree has been around for millennia but, sadly, is a dying one. I hope to give it new life by promoting it outside Portugal’s borders – and I can only do it with your support.
And even though I strongly encourage everyone to visit Portugal, my little shop means you don’t have to take a vacation to get yourself some authentic Portuguese jewelry.
What’s with the Teacups?
Readers of my blog will know about my tea addiction. When coming up with ways to present my jewelry, my mom suggested I display them on tea and coffee cups (at least half of the photos are Portuguese china, including Vista Alegre brand). I absolutely loved the idea and it gave me a great excuse to enjoy a cup of tea between photo shoots…
