A Portuguese Touch to Your Christmas Shopping

I absolutely love buying Christmas presents for friends and family, and actually start doing my shopping pretty early each year. But I know most people are only starting to think about what to get their loved ones right about now (1 month till Christmas – hooray!). So if you’re looking to get original – and distinctly Portuguese – presents this Christmas, keep reading because I have some great gift ideas to inspire you: gifts for her, gifts for him, and gifts for the home.

Gifts for Her

Do you know a lady with a sweet tooth? I’m obsessed with these adorable jam and honey gift sets, which you can purchase on Lusophile’s website. Each set has six varieties to choose from. Additionally, for the jams, you can choose your set in wine, herbs, or spices flavors.

What woman doesn’t love a new pair of shoes? Nae is a world-renowned brand (with free shipping worldwide!) that produces vegan footwear and accessories for both men and women. Isn’t it the best feeling knowing that your gift is ethical and beautiful?

Traditional Portuguese cherry liqueur, ginjinha, makes for a sweet and unique gift for a special lady. And it’s even better when served in a chocolate cup which you eat after drinking the liqueur. Besides, you’ll be washing enough cups and dishes at Christmas… get yours at Ginja9.

Good things come in small packages! How could I exclude the traditional Portuguese filigree jewelry from this list? Get yours directly from my blog. The Maria earrings, shown here, are a classic that make a big statement – perfect for New Year’s Eve!

Gifts for Him

Undandy produces men’s shoes and boots in Portugal by skilled craftsmen. Aside from having a wide collection in their catalog, what makes Undandy really special is that you can design your own shoes or boots online and have them custom made just for that special man in your life.

What man doesn’t take pride in a well-stocked liquor cabinet? Help him complete his with a bottle of Licor Beirão. Perfect on its own, or as part of a cocktail. Find your local distributor online – it’s worth the few minutes of quick research!

Beard Up balm and/or oil. This perfect little stocking stuffer makes for a trendy, ethical, and unique addition to your favorite man’s Christmas haul.

Is your man into gadgets? Maybe he’s also a little forgetful? You may want to add a Lapa (or a set of three) to his Christmas list. These tracking devices will mean he’ll never misplace his keys – or other valuables – again. Also one to use on your pets!

Gifts for the Home

Is there anything better than cozying up in the winter time on your sofa with a warm blank to keep you warm? Get this vintage style, 100% sheep’s wool blanket from Lusophile’s website here. Available in various designs and colors.
